Common Name: Yellow Knobbed Curassow
Scientific Name: Crax daubentoni
Clutch Size: 2 eggs
Incubation Period: 28 to 30 days
Habitation: They are found in forest and woodland in Colombia and Venezuela.
Conservation Status: Classified as Near Threatened (NT) on the IUCN Red List (1), and listed on Appendix III of CITES in Colombia

 

 

Northern Helmeted Curassow
(Pauxi pauxi)

Common Name: Northern Helmeted Curassow
Scientific Name: Pauxi pauxi
Clutch Size: 2 eggs
Incubation Period: 28 to 30 days
Habitation: They are found on the eastern Andes of west Venezuela and neighboring north-east Colombia.
Conservation Status: Classified as Endangered (EN) on the IUCN Red List (1), and listed on Appendix II of CITES in Colombia

Common Name: Great Curassow
Scientific Name: Crax rubra
Clutch Size: 2 eggs
Incubation Period: 28 to 30 days
Habitation: They are found from eastern Mexico south through Central America (Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama) to western Colombia and western Ecuador
Conservation Status: Classified as Vulnerable (VU) on the IUCN Red List (1), and listed on Appendix II of CITEC

 

 

Razor Billed Curassow
(Mitu tuberosum)


Common Name: Razor Billed Curassow
Scientific Name: Mitu tuberosum
Clutch Size: 2 eggs
Incubation Period: 28 to 30 days
Habitation: They are found throughout a large part of the Amazon Rainforest, though largely restricted to regions south of the Amazon River.
Conservation Status: Classified as Least Concern (LC) on the IUCN Red List (1).
